Frequently Asked Questions
Can I tow a tube or water skier?
If you're interested in towing watersports, you should rent either the Bayliner 195, the Bayliner 215, or the Sea Doo Switch. Towing is not allowed on our Crest Pontoon Boats. If you are renting a boat that allows towing, you can bring your own towables or rent a Toy Package from Cultus Lake Resort. Renting a Toy Package will allow you to choose between a tube, a knee board, or a wakeboard. You can trade out different toys throughout the day. Please note that if your boat is at or near full weight capacity, then your towing performance will be affected.
Can I bring floaty toys with me?
Yes, you're welcome to bring lake toys as long as they can be secured safely onboard for travel, and they are not being towed. We also rent inflatable paddle boards for guests to take on our pontoon boats. Our marina staff will happily load and secure our rental paddle boards for you.
Can I pull up onshore around the lake?
There are several sandy beaches around the lake that you can park at to picnic or explore. All of our pontoon boats may be pulled up on shore at sandy beach locations. Our Bayliner 215 and other ski boats or bowriders may be anchored just off-shore.
We have friends in the Day Use area or Cultus Lake Campground, can I take the rental boat over there?
No, we do not allow our rentals to travel to the Day Use area, the Cultus Lake Campground, or the public boat launch area or dock. If we see you travel there, you will forfeit any remaining rental time with no refund. Those areas are shallow and rocky, and the chances of damaging the propeller or impeller are high. Those areas are strictly off limits to all our rental boats, all guests must board the boat from the Cultus Lake Resort dock.
What happens if I damage the boat?
The renter is responsible for the cost of any and all damages to the rental boat.
How do I reserve?
You can book by calling us at 541-408-1560, or booking on our website, or in person in our lodge. The full rental price is due at the time of booking, please see the cancellation policy for details on refunds.
How early should I arrive to my rental?
To ensure you are able to start your rental experience on time, we recommend that everyone in your party arrives at least 30 minutes early AND you and your party sign all waivers online prior to your rental. If you choose to complete waivers in person on the day of your reservation, we recommend that you arrive at least 45 minutes early.
What is the cancellation policy?
7+ days notice = refund to credit card minus a $50 cancellation fee per watercraft, or store credit issued for rescheduling
3-6 days notice = store credit issued for rescheduling, no monetary refund option
Less than 72 hours notice = no refund or store credit issued, the entire cost of your rental is forfeited
Our boats rentals are rain or shine, and no refunds or store credit will be issued for poor weather or smoky conditions. Should our marina staff determine that lake conditions are too dangerous for boats to launch, refunds or store credit will be issued to guests. These determinations are made at the time of the rental launch.
What time to boat rentals start?
Our pontoon boats rentals are 4 hour morning, 4 hour afternoon, and 8 hour all day time slots available. Our morning rentals begin either at 9am or 10am, and our afternoon rentals begin at either 1:30pm or 2:30pm. Unfortunately we generally cannot accommodate launching afternoon boats earlier than the designated times because they are almost always rented in the morning time slots. Our ski boats and bowriders are also offered for 6 hour rentals, from 10:30am - 4:30pm or 11am - 5:00pm, or all day rentals.
How much will fuel cost?
Its impossible for us to give you an accurate estimate of fuel costs, because it is largely depending on how you use the rental boat. In general, our pontoon boats tend to use less fuel than our boats that allow for towing fun.
Do you provide life jackets?
Yes, we provide personal flotation devices for everyone boarding our rental boats. Children 12 and under are required to wear a personal flotation device at all times.
Are pets allowed on your boats?
Yes, we do allow a maximum of 2 pets on each boat. There is a $20 fee per pet, and we ask that pets do not sit or stand directly on the boat upholstery.
